SPIRITUAL ARMOR FOR SPIRITUAL WARFARE

Ephesians 6:10-13 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
PUT ON THE ARMOR OF GOD: THE FIRST FIVE PIECES ARE DEFENSIVE
BELT Christ’s identity
My loins are girded about with the belt of truth because the Spirit of truth is in me, leading me and guiding me into all truth and showing me things to come. The Spirit of God glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ to me, in me and through me.
Ephesians 6:14 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, Prov.20:27. Jn.16:13-14.
BREASTPLATE my identity
I have on the breastplate of righteousness because he that knew me was made to be sin for me that I might be made the righteousness of God in him. I have the gift of righteousness, therefore, faith and love flow freely from my heart.
Ephesians 6:14 and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 1 Thess. 5:8; Isaiah 59:17
SHOES my purpose
I have on the shoes of the readiness of the gospel of peace, because wherever I go, wherever my feet take me, my purpose is intact and I bear good news of peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Isa.52:7.
SHIELD my prayers
I take up the shield of faith and quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one, because the eyes of the Lord (belt) are over the righteous (breastplate) and his ears are open unto my prayers. God will move heaven and earth to answer my prayers formed from his word. 1 Peter 3:12.
Ephesians 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
HELMET my redemption; my health & prosperity
I have the helmet of salvation because he delights in my prosperity and wishes above all things that I be in health and prosper even as my soul prospers, until I receive my new resurrection body. It is the goodness of God that led me to repentance. Romans 2:4
Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, 1 Thess.5:8, 3Jn.2. Eph.1:14, Ps.107:20.
PUT ON THE ARMOR OF GOD: THE SIXTH PIECE OF ARMOR IS OFFENSIVE
SWORD praying for others
I take up the sword of the spirit because when God quickens his word to me, I use it to destroy the works of the devil. As God’s intercessor I step between my neighbor and the destroyer, to ruin the enemy’s plans for them on behalf of Christ.
Ephesians 6:17 and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 1 Jn.3:8. Isa.59:16-17.
